Year of the Rabbit

City of Las Vegas’ 13th year of presenting about the Chinese New Year and zodiac animal exhibit. The 2023 exhibit is called “Lunar New Year of the Rabbit”. This is my piece for the show. It’s 3’x2′, gouache and colored pencils on chipboard sections layered on top of each other.

The rabbit is the symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese Culture, thus 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope.
