Project Description

I drew artistic inspiration from the much loved 1908 classic children’s book the  Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame.

All the elements in these illustrations were done individually by hand in gouache on gray-toned paper and then composited in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

My goal was to create a friendly and inviting feeling by using warm tones in rendering the characters along with a freshness of the forest by contrasting those colors with bluish green backgrounds and accents on the animals.
