Still Life with the Sun

The Sun card in the Tarot is a favorite for a lot of reasons. When it appears in a reading it tends to harold joy, freedom, and success. I love this card and wanted to create a still life painting with some of the elements featured. I added the paper cranes not only for design reasons but also because they are a symbol of hope and freedom and seemed appropriate that they join the scene.

The Sun is a card that indicates the universe is conspiring in your favor. The horse represents being taken along on your journey with less effort. The baby is a rebirth into a new phase of your life.
