Still Life with Hope

The Major Arcana Tarot cards represent the life lessons, karmic influences and the big archetypal themes that are influencing your life and your soul’s journey to enlightenment. Each card illustrating stages of life from beginning with The Fool and ending with The World.
The Star card (XVII) is part of the comes after The Tower (XVI) card. It is the still clear dawn after an extreme life changing and traumatic disruption. The Star is the hope of a new day and renewed life out of the destruction of the old provided the lessons of the Tower are learned.
The Star card sky and; In my still life I have placed elements that relate to the meaning of The Star: A burning candle – symbol of spiritual reflection and prayer of gratitude. 8 star anise pods reflect the 8 stars illustrated in The Star card’s sky.
Star anise symbolize energies of the micro- and macrocosm, stability and expansion, and connection to divine information.
The number 8 is considered a lucky number of material abundance and spiritual expansion.
White paper cranes symbolize peace, transcendence and spiritual guidance.
A cup of tea represents comfort, healing and nurturing after a traumatic experience. Books in the background are represent learning from the experience to create a better future.
